Another Win in the book
Sore, but not a sore loser.
TGIF – Keep on going
This will be a boring entry. Nothing much happened today. However, I’m starting to like listening to K-Pop doing my workout or just in the day.
My girlfriend wanted me to find more about my roots. Here the context. I’m adopted. My parents ordered me from Taiwan when I was 9 months so I have no memories or clues what my country looks like.
I never really explored much about it. I was proud of my host nation which is Canada. I learned the culture, the food and I became a Canadian like any other person that would have been born there.
But I always had that duality inside of me. A distant calling of my origins. Fast forward today, 30 years later that I’m starting to discover my asian heritage.
I’m now on a path to learn different asian languages and also the culture. Which include music and videos.
“A people without the knowledge of their past history, origin and culture is like a tree without roots.”
Right now I feel…
My body is sore. I feel the workout through all my body. Which is a good sign I heard. Mind you also this is my first complete week.
I followed a plan. Something I rarely accomplish more than 3 consecutive days. I either change system, modify the plan for no reason or simply give up because my monkey brain decided so.
What Did I learned or Skills I improve today?
Forms. I learned that workout forms are really important. Not only to prevent injuries, but also really focus on the right muscle group. It’s incredible how the angle change everything when doing dumbells rows.
What Challenge did I face?
Not much actually. As much as I want to push myself to the limit, I have to respect my mind and body. It’s useless if I have no energy left at the end of the week. This will make the other one a pain in the a** and I will lose sight of what’s important.
Think of it as “Mana”. Well your strength and mental fortiude is drawing from your mana reserve. But unlike Diablo and other games or anime characters you don’t have mana potions. Your “vitality” grows as you put more points in it a.k.a training.
… So it’s black Friday
One of my goal was also to stop spending on useless things, but I consider it an investment haha.

I bought grip gloves because I suggested it to a fellow in the community I’m in. I used my old mechanics gloves but it’s a little overkill for what I’m doing and doesn’t have good grip for dead hang for lifting.

Then I picked up Wooden Gymnastic Rings to hang to my doorframe pull up bar. It works really well and I’m happy with it. Problem is, I still don’t have a lot of space in that area but it’s good for basic pull exercises. Also, 15 ft of strap is a lot… like too much for my 7 ft door lol.

Then I got these Grip Strength Trainer. It’s really just to train my hands to have better endurance. I have carpial tunnel symptoms because I’m always on the computer. Hopefully it will help.

Notes
Since I received my grip gloves, I tried a deadhang and it felt way better.
