The Comeback Arc Begins

March hit harder than expected.

A stepback

After the 2000 push-up challenge in February, my body just… stopped responding. Everything felt heavy. Progress stalled. And that’s when I slipped into the most dangerous mindset: the “maintenance” lie.

I told myself I had earned rest after three solid months. That I was doing enough. But it wasn’t recovery, it was avoidance dressed as discipline.

I stopped tracking calories. I stopped holding myself accountable. I played the classic game: “If it’s not on the scale, it doesn’t count.”
And slowly, everything got harder.

Where I Stand Now

April is here, and I’m back… but not fully locked in yet.

I’m showing up, but not with structure.
I’m moving, but not with intent.
I’m aware, but not fully accountable.

Work is intense. Life is busy. And I let that become my excuse instead of my challenge.

But the difference this time?
I see it.

The Summer Arc Objectives

I’m not drifting anymore. I’m setting direction.

Goal 1: Lose 20–30 lbs
Goal 2: Achieve 1 clean pull-up
Goal 3: Increase push-ups from 15 → 25 per set
Goal 4: Reach 30k steps per week consistently (then scale)
Goal 5: Journal, gratitude, and relax at least 5x/week
These aren’t wishes. These are standards.

The Reality Check

I haven’t journaled consistently.
My steps are inconsistent.
My nutrition is “okay” at best.
But I’m not starting from zero.
I’m starting from awareness.
And that changes everything.

“You didn’t fail. You just stopped paying attention. Now you’re looking again.”

Right now I feel…

A bit frustrated. A bit scattered.
But also… ready.

There’s no illusion this time. I know exactly where I slipped.

What Did I Learn Today?

Rest without structure turns into regression.
Discipline isn’t about intensity, it’s about consistency.

And most importantly:
You don’t “deserve a break” from becoming who you said you’d be.

What Challenge Did I Face?

Balancing life pressure with personal standards.

It’s easy to stay on track when everything is calm.
The real test is when everything isn’t.

Moving Forward

No extreme comeback. No punishment phase.

Just simple rules:

  • Track again
  • Move daily
  • Journal consistently
  • Execute, even at 70%

Because this isn’t about being perfect.

It’s about not disappearing again.
